Jennifer is a junior double majoring in Biochemistry and Biophysics and minoring Sociology of Health and Medicine on the premedical track. She is from Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, and joined Partners in Health Engage in Winter 2025. Outside of PIH Engage, Jennifer is very passionate about combining her interest in healthcare and service. Jennifer is the Co-President for the student organization Organ Transplant and Health Awareness (OTHA), promoting the organ donor registry and destigmatizing the topic of transplantation. She is also an Insurance and Referral Counselor volunteering at the University of Michigan Student-Run Free Clinic (UMSRFC), where she is trained to help uninsured/underinsured patients secure health insurance, such as Medicaid or MSupport. Jennifer has also been volunteering at the Frankel Cardiovascular Center for over a year. Additionally, she is conducting research at the Joglekar Lab, where she studies the importance of kinetochores in the process of mitosis and helps build de novo proteins to study the function of Dam1 rings in yeast. In her free time, Jennifer loves baking and watching movies with her friends, exploring new restaurants, and meeting new people!

Tallulah is a sophomore planning to major in Biology, Health, and Society (BHS). She is from Swampscott, Massachusetts, and joined the University of Michigan Partners in Health Engage chapter this past fall. She has been a part of PIH Engage for the last few years as she started a PIH Engage chapter at her high school where she served as a Team Coordinator. Outside of PIH Engage, Tallulah spends her time volunteering as a hospital greeter, serving food at a soup kitchen, and tutoring elementary school students. She also enjoys running, cooking, sailing, and exploring new coffee shops with friends!

Sinit is a sophomore majoring in Public Health and minoring in Afroamerican studies whilst on the pre-PA track. She joined Partners in Health in Winter 2025 and spent time working on various tasks, such as gala pamphlet making and presenting on global health policy myths, with the advocacy committee. Outside of PIH, she volunteers at the Rogel Cancer Center and is a research assistant in the Sherman Lab where she analyzes how pesticides affect the bee gut microbiome among other natural product discovery projects. She hopes that in the future she can use her experience in providing direct patient care, navigating public health policies, and wet lab research to close socioeconomic/racial disparities and serve communities in need. In her free time, she enjoys going on adventures with her friends, taste testing new coffee shops, taking walks, reading, and baking cookies!

Jessica is a freshman planning to major in biochemistry and minor in data science. She is from Midland, MI, and joined the University of Michigan Partners in Health Engage chapter fall of 2025. Jessica is a firm believer in the power of community and advocacy, and is excited to be able to join a strong community united by passion for health equity. Outside of PIH Engage, you can find Jessica on campus playing the dizi (traditional Chinese flute) in Qingyun Chinese Music Ensemble, talking to prospective students as an Honors Admissions Ambassador, or cooking up something delicious!

Esha is a freshman planning to major in Medical Anthropology with a minor in Biology, following the premedical track. She is from Novi, Michigan, and joined the University of Michigan Partners in Health Engage in Fall 2025. Outside of PIH Engage, Esha conducts research under Dr. Viglianti, expanding on the understandings from the Intern Health Study to explore the role of healthcare institutions in effectively preventing and addressing sexual harassment against medical professionals. Additionally, she volunteers with the Ann Arbor Veterans Affairs Agency. In her free time, Esha enjoys golfing, cooking, reading, and spending time with her friends and family!

Maggie is a freshman planning to major in Biochemistry and Medical Anthropology. She is from Hudson, Ohio, and joined the University of Michigan Partners in Health Engage chapter this past fall. Outside of PIH Engage Maggie is a part of the Organ Transplant and Health Awareness (OTHA), an organization that promotes the organ donor registry and strives to dispel common stigmas around organ donation, as well as an editor on the Perspectives committee of the Undergraduate Journal of Public Health. In her hometown, Maggie volunteers at Akron City Hospital and a local food bank, as well as tutors students in debate and English. In her free time she loves reading, spending time with friends, and taking her dog Hobbs on walks.

Tanisha is a sophomore and a premedical student majoring in Biopsychology, Cognition, and Neuroscience. She is from Novi, Michigan and joined the University of Michigan PIH Engage chapter in Winter 2025. Tanisha joined PIH Engage because she is passionate about not only wanting to be a physician but also understanding and advocating for a better medical system for future patients. Outside of PIH Engage, she currently works in the Psychoneuroimmunology Lab at the University of Michigan under Dr. Annelise Madison, looking at the connection between the mind and body in various studies. She also currently works as an MA at an OB/GYN practice part-time. In her free time she enjoys dancing, reading books, going for long walks, and trying out new coffee shops!

Madison is a junior majoring Biopsychology, Cognition and Neuroscience on the pre-medical track. She is from Millburn, NJ and she joined Michigan PIH Engage Chapter in Fall 2025. Madison joined PIH because she is interested in approaching healthcare through an interdisciplinary lens, with a focus on healthcare inequities and health care policy. Outside of PIH, Madison is on the M-Heal Project CEPEA business team which focuses on making more accessible feeding tools for children in Bangladesh with Cerebral Palsy. She also spends her time volunteering at the Michigan Medicine hospital, tutoring middle school students, and doing neuroscience research with the goal of using electrophysiological approaches and to study pre-seizure dynamics in epilepsy. She also enjoys cooking, running, cafe hopping, going to concerts, hanging with friends, and ice skating.
